Measurements

What NOZA Measures

One short facial video (about 5 seconds) produces two kinds of wellness estimates: video-based vital signals read from subtle skin-tone changes, and image-based facial indicators read from single frames. Every value carries a confidence score, a plain-language explanation, and — for signed-in members — a comparison against your personal baseline.

Video-based vital estimates

Read from the pulse signal in your face across the video (remote photoplethysmography).

Available now

Heart-rate estimate

Your pulse in beats per minute (bpm), estimated from micro colour changes in facial skin.

Available now

HRV / rhythm stability

How steady your heartbeat rhythm is (ms) — a wellness signal linked to stress and recovery.

Available now

Breathing-rate estimate

Breaths per minute, derived from periodic signal changes during the scan.

Available now

Oxygen-saturation trend

A relative SpO₂ trend (%) — how your oxygenation moves over time, not a medical-grade oximeter reading.

Available now

Pulse-signal strength

How clearly your pulse was detected in this scan — part of every confidence score.

Available now

Measurement confidence

Each result reports how reliable this scan was. Low confidence triggers a rescan recommendation instead of a shaky number.

Image-based facial wellness indicators

Estimated from frames of the same capture — appearance-based wellness signals, not measurements of internal physiology.

Available now

Facial BMI estimate

A body-mass-index estimate from facial features — a trend indicator for body composition, not a scale replacement.

Available now

Facial appearance-age estimate

How old your face appears to the model. An appearance signal that responds to sleep, recovery and lifestyle — not your biological age.

Available now

Smoking-related lifestyle-risk indicator

An appearance-based risk estimate associated with smoking and lifestyle factors. An indicator to discuss and track — never a definitive claim about you.

Available now

Face & image-quality confidence

Lighting, stillness and framing are scored on every scan; poor quality lowers confidence and can mark results unavailable.

Every measurement includes

  • A value with its unit — plus an explicit “unavailable” state when scan quality is too low to be honest.
  • A confidence score, so you always know how much to trust this scan.
  • A plain-language explanation of what the number means for wellbeing.
  • Your personal baseline comparison, once you have a few scans in Progress Mode.
  • A wellness-screening disclaimer — these are estimates for self-knowledge, not diagnoses.
NOZA provides wellness screening and educational insights — it is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If persistent concerning patterns appear, consult a qualified health professional.
